Datra Martindale is a writer and producer originally from Bronx, New
York. She began her 16-year entertainment career as a copywriter for
Atlantic and Arista Records where she developed campaigns and
produced television and radio spots for many prominent artists (Usher,
Whitney Houston, Grateful Dead, Notorious B.I.G.) She then transitioned to
print media as a researcher for publications, such as, Cosmopolitan, People,
Rolling Stone, and Vibe. After relocating to Los Angeles in 2001, Martindale
formed My Word CreATIVE consulting, a creative services agency, where
she managed photographers, wardrobe stylists, and makeup artists.
Deciding to follow her lifelong passion for writing, BITCH marks her
debut in theater.
